How to make the dog vomit
Dogs are like small vacuum cleaners that absorb everything in their path through their mouth. Sometimes throwing up the dog can rid your pet of great harm or even save his life. Here's how you can induce vomiting in your dog.
Make the dog vomit: Key considerations
The first thing you should know is that even though your dog has ingested something toxic or dangerous to his health, we cannot always cause him to vomit.
We should avoid it when:
We don't know what he's ingested.
The dog is unconscious, unable to breathe, or is convulsing.
The substance ingested is gasoline or solvent or a corrosive product, such as bleach, ammonia or acid.
What you have swallowed is a medium or large object or with a tip.
For its part, it is recommended to make the dog vomit if we know that he has ingested:
Some medications such as acetaminophen, aspirin or ibuprofen.
If you have eaten plants such as marijuana or other plants toxic to dogs.
You should only make your dog throw up in an emergency, since it is a practice that has its risks.
Ways to make a dog puke
With oxygenated water
One of the solutions you can use to vomit to a furry one is with oxygenated water, but it must be diluted in water.
The first thing you should know is that you have to use 2 millimeters of oxygenated water at 3% for each kilo of the dog and use the same amount of water. Use a topless syringe for both measurements and mix them in an empty glass.
Then refill the syringe with the mixture.
Open your pet's mouth and insert the liquid quickly so that it comes out of pressure and down its throat.
In a matter of 10 minutes your dog must have started to salivate and have arcades, reaching the vomit. If not, you can repeat it, but only one more time.
With salt
In a glass of water, pour in two tablespoons of salt and mix. Put the liquid in a topless syringe and empty the contents into your dog's mouth quickly.
After the first 10-15 minutes your dog should feel like vomiting, but if he doesn't, you can repeat the process one more time.
Whether you can't make the dog vomit or you've provided this first aid to your pet for good purpose, a visit to the vet is mandatory for the furry to be checked. Your pet's health should always be in the hands of professionals!
